Rebrandly
Tool · this deep dive is built from the official pages of the platform itself and of the tools that support it.
Overview
Rebrandly describes itself like this: "Best link shortener for marketing teams. Create branded short URLs, track campaign performance, and boost clicks with custom domains. Start for free." (homepage). That is a self-description, that is, the tool's own claim about itself, not an independent assessment and not a check of every promise in practice.
In substance the line of business follows from it: shortening links on your own domain and counting the click-throughs on them. Everything else in that phrase is evaluative wording, and we have no confirmation of it.
The interface language of the homepage is English; it is taken from the markup attribute, not from our assumptions.
For those who intend to embed the tool into their own system: the homepage has a link to the developer documentation, and the page it leads to does open and does contain the marks of documentation. This was checked by opening the address, not deduced from how it is spelled.
One more technical detail: the site keeps a machine-readable index llms.txt of 2229 characters. The figure is our own measurement of the file on the date of the check, not a claim by the tool; the file changes along with the documentation. Such an index by itself is a mark of a site prepared to be read by programs, and it says nothing about the product's capabilities.
Which platforms it works with
Care is needed here, because the source does contain a list of platforms, but it answers a different question.
On the social sharing page the answers to questions state where branded links work: "Instagram, Facebook, X (Twitter), TikTok, LinkedIn, WhatsApp, SMS, email, and any platform that accepts URLs". The question ran "Do branded links work on all social media platforms?" — and the answer means exactly what it says: a link can be pasted anywhere addresses are accepted. This is not a list of integrations, and still less a matter of connecting accounts.
The real integrations page is closed: www.rebrandly.com/integrations answers with a redirect (301) to app.rebrandly.com/integrations, and there sits an empty application shell (div#root) — the content is not served without signing in to an account. What integrations the tool has cannot be checked from what is published.
The conclusion is a sober one: it is confirmed that Rebrandly links can be placed in the listed locations. Nothing is confirmed about connections with those platforms.
How you earn with it
An affiliate programme is not announced.
The tool does have a partners page — /partners, and it lists the types of partnerships: Tech, Channel, Co-marketing and Other partners. But there is no commission for a referred customer on it, no rates and no payout thresholds: you are invited to contact the sales department.
Neighbouring addresses have been checked and are empty: /affiliate, /affiliate-program, /referral and /partner-program give 404, while /affiliates redirects to the homepage. No working programme with announced terms was found in what is published.
What it will not do
It is not prepared to show the make-up of its integrations: the integrations page lives inside the application and serves no content without a sign-in.
It will not connect your social network accounts — at any rate, that does not follow from the answer in the questions section. All that is said there is that branded links work on platforms that accept addresses.
It does not promise to pay for a referred customer: the partners page describes types of partnerships, not a commission, and refers you to the sales department.
