Figma
Tool · this deep dive is built from the official pages of the platform itself and of the tools that support it.
Overview
Figma describes itself like this: "Figma is the canvas where design, code, and AI come together. From first idea to shipped product — go from concept to production with your whole team, in one place" (homepage). This is the tool's own claim about itself, not an independent assessment: both "canvas" and "whole team in one place" are its own words.
For a catalogue of social network tools this is a borderline case. Figma is a layout editor, and it stands in our section as an instrument for preparing images. Publishing posts, scheduling, analytics and connecting social network accounts are not its occupation.
The interface language of the homepage is en. The markup declares no other language versions.
The homepage leads to the address https://www.figma.com/api/user — found by the sign "api" in the address itself, not by the link's label. The page is served by a script and is empty without a browser, so whether it is documentation, and whether Figma has a programming interface at all, cannot be learned from outside.
Which platforms it works with
There is no list of supported social platforms on the site. That is not an omission: the address figma.com/integrations returns 404, and figma.com/community is closed to robots (response 403).
The words "Social media" do occur on the site, but they do not mean what one might think: this is a category of community templates, that is, a merchandise heading with layouts, not a list of platforms the tool can send anything to. Such a heading must not be taken for a list of supported platforms — they are different things, and we do not count it as a list.
The upshot for this section: which platforms Figma works with, the source does not say; neither is any refusal of them announced.
How you earn with it
Figma has no affiliate programme at present, and this is a rare case where a tool says so directly. The programme's page says: "We have sunset the affiliate program pilot as of 8/16/2024 and will no longer be accepting new applications". That is, the programme existed, existed as a pilot, and has been closed; new applications are not being accepted.
The page figma.com/partners is alive, meanwhile, but it is about something else — about technology partners. No commission for a client you bring in is announced on it. Developer partnership should not be confused with an affiliate programme: you cannot earn by the second scheme, because the scheme no longer exists.
What it will not do
It will not let you earn from clients you bring in: the pilot affiliate programme was closed on 16 August 2024 by the tool's own statement, and applications are not being accepted.
It will not let you see a list of supported platforms either — there is none on the site, and the integrations page returns 404.
The template community page answers with a 403 and cannot be read from outside.

API access
the address https://www.figma.com/api/user was found on the home page by the «api/dev» marker in the address; the page is served by a script and is empty without a browser, so whether it is documentation has not been verified
CORRECTED the previous version declared any address containing the word api or dev found on the home page to be a developer section. All 57 such records were checked by opening the address: 24 turned out to be documentation. See data/technical/dev-links-verified.tsv and docs/research/S195-догадка-по-адресу.md
