Exploding Topics

Tool · this deep dive is built from the official pages of the platform itself and of the tools that support it.

Overview

Exploding Topics is a tool about growing topics and markets. The self-description word for word: "See new market opportunities, trending topics, emerging technology, hot startups and more on Exploding Topics" (homepage). This is the tool's own claim about itself, not an independent assessment.

The work here is arranged the other way round from schedulers: the tool publishes nothing and connects to nothing, it watches what people are beginning to talk about more often and shows it before the topic becomes common knowledge. That is how it describes itself; how early and how accurately is not stated in the sources we checked, and we will not make promises on its behalf.

The interface language of the homepage is en, taken from the markup attribute; no language versions are declared in hreflang.

Which platforms it works with

A caveat is needed here, without which this section is misleading.

In the "How We Find Trends" section the data sources are listed in general terms: Social media platforms, Search engines, Online forums and communities, News articles and blogs, E-commerce websites, Podcasts (homepage). Not a single specific network is named.

"Social media platforms" is a type of source, not a list of platforms. It does not follow from that line that the tool reads Instagram, VKontakte or LinkedIn; all that follows from it is that the tool counts social networks among the places it takes signals from. Passing such a line off as a list of supported platforms is not allowed, and we do not do it.

The only specific mention of a platform on the page is the TikTok Insights feature. Its name speaks of TikTok directly, but what exactly it shows, where it takes data from and whether it is part of the free portion, the page does not explain.

There is no connecting of accounts here in any form: the tool looks outward at publicly available signals, not into your profile.

How you earn with it

An affiliate programme is not announced, and the check was a detailed one: /affiliate, /affiliates, /affiliate-program, /partners, /partner-program, /referral, /referral-program — all seven addresses give 404.

The homepage footer has links to Semrush, but the tool has no page for an affiliate programme of its own (homepage). A link to another tool is a link to another tool, not the terms of a commission; we draw no conclusions from it about how relations between the companies are arranged.

What it will not do

This section is assembled from records marked as an absence of data and as partial.

The tool gives you no way to name, one by one, which platforms it watches: the sources are listed by category. The only exception is TikTok, named in the name of a separate feature.

It makes no claim at all to publish for you, to schedule posts or to connect accounts — by design this is an observer, not an instrument for running accounts.

It does not offer to pay you for a client you bring in: not one of the seven addresses we checked exists.
