Pika
Tool · this deep dive is built from the official pages of the platform itself and of the tools that support it.
Overview
Pika is a video generator. Declared are generation from text and from an image (text-to-video and image-to-video) on the Pika 2.5 models in Turbo and Pro modes, and alongside them the tool's own modes: Pikascenes, Pikaffects, Pikadditions, Pikaswaps, Pikatwists, Pikaframes and Pikaformance.
There are three resolutions: 480p, 720p and 1080p. Clip length starts at five seconds; with Pikaframes it reaches 20–25 seconds, and with Pikaformance with sound up to 10 seconds on the free plan and up to 30 seconds on the paid ones. All of this is taken from the credit consumption table at the bottom of the pricing page.
Editing and the cutting of a long video into short clips the tool does not have.
About the language of the prompt nothing is said anywhere: neither on the pricing page, nor in the part of the terms pages that the server returns. The site is English-language and there is no language switch. About Russian, Arabic, Hindi and Chinese the tool reports nothing — neither a promise nor a prohibition.
Which platforms it works with
With none: direct export is not declared. On the pricing page only the downloading of the finished video figures, and in the top menu there is an API section.
The links to Discord, Instagram, X, YouTube, Facebook and TikTok in the footer have been checked: they lead to Pika's own accounts. There is not one line about connecting social accounts on the pricing page, but that is not a denial.
Pricing
A reservation about how the prices were read. On the pricing page there is a period switch — Yearly with a 20% discount, Monthly and Weekly — and the yearly one is selected by default. It is those sums that the server returns; the monthly and weekly ones are substituted by the switch and are absent from the HTML.
So the following is confirmed. Standard — 8 USD a month under annual payment: 700 credits a month, Pika 2.5 in all resolutions, Pikaframes, accelerated generation. Pro — 28 USD a month under annual payment: 2300 credits, generation faster still. Fancy — 76 USD a month under annual payment: 6000 credits, maximum speed. All three carry the lines "Download videos with no watermark" and "Commercial use".
The minimum is 8 USD a month under annual payment. What the lowest paid tier is under monthly payment cannot be read off the page. Over and above that the tool warns: "VAT rate may be charged, depending on your country of residence".
What is free
The Basic plan — 0 USD. In its card: 80 video credits a month, "Access to Pika 2.5 (480p only)", "Image-to-Video only", "Download videos with no watermark", "Purchase more roll over video credits" and "Commercial use".
Read that literally. The free plan is limited by the 480p resolution and by the fact that video is made only from an image. But a watermark the tool does not promise here either, and commercial use is marked on a par with the paid tiers; buying more roll-over credits is permitted too.
Restrictions
Credits per month: 80 on Basic, 700 on Standard, 2300 on Pro, 6000 on Fancy. Additional credits are bought and do roll over.
Consumption is set out in a table. For text-to-video and image-to-video on model 2.5: 480p for 5 seconds — 12 credits (this step is available free), 480p for 10 seconds — 24, 720p for 5 seconds — 20, 720p for 10 seconds — 40, 1080p for 5 seconds — 40, 1080p for 10 seconds — 80. Everything but the first row is marked as paid.
Pikaframes: from 12 credits for 5 seconds in 480p to 60 credits for 20–25 seconds; the same 20–25 seconds in 1080p cost 200 credits. Pikaformance is counted by the second — 3 credits per second.
Limits on the length of the uploaded source the tool does not declare.
Rights to the output
The answer is incomplete, and the reason lies in the source. The pricing page marks "Commercial use" on all four plans, including the free Basic — that is, by the plan grid commercial use is not divided.
Who owns the generated video, however, the pricing page does not say. The text of the terms of service could not be read: the address answers with code 200, but the server returns only the heading "Terms of Service" and the footer — the body of the document is loaded by a script from external storage and is absent from the HTML. Script requests for the content were not performed, and other people's retellings of the terms are not used.
Do they train on your data
It could not be established: this is not the silence of a document but the inaccessibility of its text.
In the part of the terms and of the acceptable use policy that the server returns there is not a single paragraph — only section headings. Correspondingly, a way to opt out cannot be established for the same reason.
Let it be said plainly: "unknown" here does not equal "they do not train". The tool has the documents, but they cannot be read out of the server's response.
How you earn with it
Commercial use the tool marks on all four plans, including the free one: the line "Commercial use" stands on Basic too, and there as well is "Download videos with no watermark".
What is missing is the answer to the question of who owns the finished video: the text of the terms is not readable out of the server's response.
What it will not do
It will not edit or cut a long video into short clips: the tool has no such function.
It will not generate video from text on the free plan: the Basic card says "Image-to-Video only".
It will not raise the free plan above 480p: "Access to Pika 2.5 (480p only)".
It will not publish the clip for you: connecting social accounts is not declared, and the footer links lead to the tool's own accounts.
It will not show a monthly price in the HTML the server returns: only the sums of the annual period are confirmed.
It will not say which language to write the prompt in.
It will not let you read its own rules. The tool has a separate acceptable use policy, and the server returns its table of contents: Introduction, Expected Behavior, User Responsibility, Prohibited Uses, Content Restrictions and Standards, "Use of Photographs or Portraits", Disclosures and Consents, Monitoring and Enforcement, Modifications. So the question of other people's photographs and portraits is dealt with in a section of its own — but the text of that section the server does not return, and the content of the rules remains unknown.
It will not mark what is created as made by AI with a visible sign: the line "Download videos with no watermark" stands on every plan. About metadata, C2PA and other hidden marks the pricing page is silent.

Pricing
Basic — 0 USD: 80 video credits a month, «Access to Pika 2.5 (480p only)», «Image-to-Video only», «Download videos with no watermark», «Purchase more roll over video credits», «Commercial use» (verbatim). That is, on the free plan the service expressly promises both the absence of a watermark and commercial use, and limits you by 480p resolution and a ban on generating from text
The lines are taken verbatim from the Basic plan card on the pricing page; such a combination is unusual — with video generators both of these items are normally paid

Standard — 8 USD/month paid yearly: 700 credits a month, Pika 2.5 in all resolutions, Pikaframes, faster generation. Pro — 28 USD/month paid yearly: 2300 credits, faster still. Fancy — 76 USD/month paid yearly: 6000 credits, maximum speed. All three carry «Download videos with no watermark» and «Commercial use». The period switch offers Yearly at a 20% discount, Monthly and Weekly. A caveat: «VAT rate may be charged, depending on your country of residence» (verbatim)

8 USD a month paid yearly (the Standard plan). The monthly amount for the same plan cannot be read off the page, so the lowest paid tier for monthly billing is not confirmed
The figure refers to the yearly period selected on the page by default; beyond that the pricing page warns of possible VAT depending on the payer's country

Restrictions
The service has a separate acceptable use policy, and the server delivers its table of contents: Introduction, Expected Behavior, User Responsibility, Prohibited Uses, Content Restrictions and Standards, «Use of Photographs or Portraits», Disclosures and Consents, Monitoring and Enforcement, Modifications. So the question of other people's photographs and portraits is covered by a section of its own, but the text of that section is not delivered by the server and the substance of the rules remains unknown
The table of contents was obtained from the server's response at /acceptable-use-policy and that is a confirmed fact; the content of the sections is loaded by a script and was not read, and retelling it from third-party sources is not permissible

Legal
The pricing page marks «Commercial use» on all four plans, including the free Basic, so by the plan grid commercial use is not divided up. Who exactly owns the generated video the pricing page does not say, and the text of the terms of service could not be read

The service places no visible watermark on any plan: the line «Download videos with no watermark» (verbatim) appears on all four plans, including the free one. This does not differ by plan. About metadata, C2PA and other hidden markers of AI origin the pricing page says nothing
